ANALYSIS OF KAZAKHSTAN’S GASTRONOMY TOURISM MARKET

This study aims to determine the gastronomy tourism market in Kazakhstan. The population of the research consists of tourism stakeholders operating in Kazakhstan. From this population, data were collected through interview techniques with 15 participants working in various tourism enterprises in the Almaty region. As a result of the research, it was determined that tourists visit national food and beverage enterprises at different rates, with a particular concentration of tourist from China and Germany. It was also concluded that tourist’s tent to prefer restaurants in the style of ethno-villages. Furthermore, it was identified that among Kazakhstan’s priority target markets in gastronomy tourism are, respectively, “neighboring and culturally close countries”, “European countries”, “Asian countries”, “Middle Eastern countries,” and “North American countries.” In light of these results, efforts were to provide useful recommendations for tourism enterprises, food and beverage enterprises, tourism companies, and researchers.
