In writing the article, methods of analysis and synthesis, as well as comparative analysis, were used in the process of generalizing scientific and methodological approaches. Economic-statistical methods were applied in the analytical studies to assess the use of protected natural areas for tourism purposes. The conclusions and recommendations were drawn using abstract-logical methods. The article highlights the types of services provided in Kazakhstan's protected natural areas. The international experience of using protected natural areas for tourism is also analyzed, with the results showing that developing this type of tourism can create additional jobs and generate income opportunities.
