Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the tourism industry's performance in the East Kazakhstan Region for the years 2022–2023. Key indicators are examined, including the average profit per tourist, infrastructure load levels, and their interrelationships that affect overall tourism revenue. Particular attention is given to territorial differentiation: the districts making the greatest economic contribution to tourism development are identified, along with the factors influencing their success. Based on the revealed trends and statistical data, practical recommendations are proposed to enhance the profitability of the tourism sector, optimize infrastructure usage, and promote sustainable growth in tourist flows across the region. The findings may prove useful for government agencies, businesses, and the academic community involved in tourism development in the East Kazakhstan Region.
