OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SACRED TOURISM IN ZHAMBYL REGION

Abstract

The article considered the current state of sacred tourism in Zhambyl region in the southern region of the country and the possibilities of its development. The main goal is to increase the demand and attractiveness of sacred tourism among tourists by identifying factors that have a positive and negative impact on the development of sacred tourism in the region. In addition, a description of the sacred tourist and recreational sites of Zhambyl region will be given. It was found that the object of the study is a large concentration of monuments of cultural heritage, places of historical value, religious sites and mausoleums and other geographical places considered sacred, the visit of tourists to them for the purpose of pilgrimage has a significant impact on the development of sacred tourism in this region. In other words, it was found that the development and effective promotion of sacred tourism in Zhambyl region makes a special contribution to solving socio-economic problems in the region. A list of activities that need to be done in order to effectively promote sacred tourism as a separate direction and have a high potential for its development is proposed.
