Abstract

Tourism industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the 21st century. In 2023, the share of travel and tourism industry in the world GDP will amount to 9.1%, which is 23.2% more than in 2022. The article deals with the issue of interrelation of road and roadside services with tourism, namely their influence on the tourist attractiveness of the region. The experience of foreign countries in improving these services with statistics was analyzed. The trends in the construction of transport systems were also considered, taking into account the component of sustainability and environmental friendliness, namely the introduction of advanced technologies such as soil stabilization methods, the use of nanopolymer admixture, the use of recycled and environmentally friendly materials, the introduction of smart sensors for monitoring the condition of roads, the integration of renewable energy sources. Further the situation with transportation systems and roadside services in our country was studied. In Kazakhstan there is an increase in the indicator of road quality. According to the information of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, last year the share of roads of republican importance that meet the standards reached 92%. As for the development of roadside service, this issue in Kazakhstan is becoming increasingly important due to the increase in the flow of vehicles and the growing number of tourists. According to the instruction of the Head of State, by 2025 all roads will be provided with roadside services that comply with the National Standard. On the basis of this standard a standard map of roadside service location in Pavlodar region (Aksu, Ekibastuz, Bayanaulsky district) was developed.
